ISO 45001:2018
The much awaited International Standard for Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Management System was published on 12-March-2018. ISO 45001:2018 specifies requirements for an Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Management System, and gives guidance for its use, to enable organizations to provide safe and healthy workplaces by preventing work-related injury and ill health, as well as by proactively improving its OH&S performance. With the publication of ISO 45001:2018, the official status of OHSAS 18001:2007 will be considered as being “Withdrawn” taking account the three-year migration period for the Organisations to migrate to ISO 45001:2018.

ISO
9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015
The much awaited 2015 editions of both ISO 9001 QMS and ISO 14001 EMS were published by ISO on 15th September, 2015.
Speaking on the occation, ISO Secretary-General Kevin McKinley said “ISO 9001 allows organizations to adapt to a changing world. It enhances an organization’s ability to satisfy its customers and provides a coherent foundation for growth and sustained success” and
“ISO 14001 is something that organizations can use to distinguish themselves from their competition, and in many cases also providing financial advantage, helping organizations to realize efficiencies and improve performance.”
Since these standards have been revised to meet the needs of today’s business world, we recommend that you
update your quality and environment management system to fit the new version - ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. A three year transition period has been agreed for moving to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 for the already certified organisations and certificates issued under ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 will not be valid after 14-Sep-2018.

ISO/IEC
27001:2022: The new edition of ISO 27001 (Information security, cybersecurity and privacy
protection — Information security management systems — Requirements) was released on October 25 2022.
ISO/IEC 27001:2022 specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system within the context of the organization. It also includes requirements for the assessment and treatment of information security risks tailored to the needs of the organization. The requirements set out in ISO/IEC 27001:2022 are generic and are intended to be applicable to all organizations, regardless of type, size or nature.
Annex A of ISO/IEC 27001 now references to the controls in ISO/IEC 27002:2022 (Information security, cybersecurity and privacy protection — Information security controls), which includes the information of Control Title and Control.
Compared with the old edition, the number of controls in ISO/IEC 27002:2022 decreases from 114 controls in 14 clauses to 93 controls in 4 clauses. For the controls in ISO/IEC 27002:2022, 11 controls are new, 24 controls are merged from the existing controls, and 58 controls are updated. Moreover, the control structure has been revised, which introduces "attribute" and "purpose" for each control and no longer uses "objective" for a group of controls.
IAF has also come out with IAF MD 26:2002 document, Transition requirements for ISO/IEC 27001:2022. A three year transition period has been agreed for moving to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 for the already certified organisations and certificates issued under ISO/IEC 27001:2013.
